SUMMARY:Student Dress Pass Day
DESCRIPTION:Students may purchase a dress pass and wear what they like on this day! Just $1 or a canned food donation to participate. Door sales on Friday morning at your Eagle’s regular entrance point. Funds will benefit Mata PTA programming and food donations will benefit Mt. Auburn Peace Pantry. \nNOTE: Students should adhere to DISD dress code guidelines and not wear clothing with spaghetti straps\, rips or holes\, open toed shoes or high heels. We also ask that all bottoms be at least fingertip length.

DESCRIPTION:Open House will be conducted by teachers beginning at 5:00 pm.\nTeachers will present two sessions:\n5 – 5:40 pm\n5:45 – 6:30 pm \nMata PTA will have a booth set up where you can learn more about the PTA and signup for a membership and online account. We’ll have games and prizes for those that sign up for an account at matapta.org that night! Everyone who joins Mata PTA by 11:59pm Aug 29th will automatically be entered in a drawing to win a $25 gift card to Target plus Mata Swag. \nThe Eagle Wagon will be there as well with a load of new shirts! SUMMARY:SBDM Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Mata will be having its first Site Based Discussion Making (SBDM) committee meeting from 5 – 6pm in the Mata library. Anyone is allowed to attend and listen. \n  \nThe Mata Montessori SBDM Committee is comprised of school staff\, parents and community members who serve in an advisory capacity to the principal.\n\nSBDM members hear regular updates and provide feedback and advice on a wide range of issues related to school functioning. We seek to collaborate closely with the other schools in our shared feeder pattern\, with an overall goal of helping to improve the educational experiences of all children in our community.\n\nSBDM subcommittees provide a uniquely-focussed concentration of various areas of campus life and function.  Subcommittees include Cultural Intelligence and Climate\, Dual-Language\, Evaluation and Modification\, and Middle School committees.
